Visual Storytelling

This class will be a survey of storytelling through a variety of media and techniques. The class will also investigate the history of visual storytelling and explore structures and methods for organizing and framing stories. Topics will include but are not limited to: page layout and narrative, graphic novels, cartooning, sequential art, video editing, time-lapse video, animation, and scrapbooking. Students will have the opportunity to craft individual projects to suit their interests and inspirations while exploring a variety of approaches to storytelling.
